Fee
Utility Bidder’s automatic cancellation service and reverse auction platform is completely free at all times for you, the client.
This service is provided free of charge to enable yourself to get the best possible deal for your essential utility supplies and to prevent yourself from getting “rolled over” into a contract at a higher unit price dictated by your suppliers.
Throughout your registration on our website and up until the end of the auction process we will not charge you a penny for using our unique website service.
There is also no obligation at anytime to accept any offers put to you by Utility Bidder.
At the end of the auction process, you will be given the option to either accept or reject the lowest bid for your supply contract.
If you decide to accept the lowest bid, we will then process your new contract and put the supplier with the winning bid in touch with you, free of charge to yourself.
If you decide to reject the lowest bid, we will then ask if you would like to be placed in the auction platform and would like us to re-process your registration so that you may use our service again at the end of your next contract, again this will be free of charge to yourself.
However, Utility Bidder reserves the right to charge an administration fee if you accept our offer at the end of the auction process and then cancel, while we are processing your new contract.
Utility Bidder reserves this right so we can keep the website completely free for all clients and to prevent any misuse of the auction platform.
The fee charged will be £100, and is to cover any costs incurred by Utility Bidder while setting up a new contract and to cover any cancellation costs we may incur by the very early termination of your new agreement.
You may also receive a strike against your account which will be visible to the suppliers the next time your auction takes place.
The reason for this is that when the suppliers bid on the auction platform, they are bidding to the tightest constraints and will not bid on a customer if they appear to be abusing the auction process.
To avoid this happening to yourself, when you receive notification of when your auction is taking place, we advise you to do as much shopping around as possible, so when you are contacted by Utility Bidder after the auction has ended, you will be safe in the knowledge that we have the best possible deal for you.
