Chris Shaw, CEO, of Utility Bidder has established the Energy Consultants Association in conjunction with PreAction, Fidelity Energy, and Hipperson Consulting to improve awareness of the energy consulting industry.
The ECA was introduced as a not-for-profit organisation to address the needs and support the business energy consultant industry. The ECA has already attended the RECCo broker workshop, engaged with the Department of Energy Security and Net Zero Strategy, engaged with Members of Parliament on broker issues and publicly responded to negative press articles defending the broker community.
The ECA recently held a workshop in Manchester to provide a unique opportunity to meet and network with like-minded energy industry professionals. At this workshop, Chris Shaw presented to 30 delegates from more than 20 difference brokerages and consultancies. Together, the ECA aims to build a strong unified trade body that shapes the future of the industry to ensure growth and success.
“A strong, unified, and well-represented trade body will help shape our industry’s future, ensuring the security and ability for us to operate and provide service is maintained and preserved – while also focusing on better end-customer outcomes.
Without the Energy Consultants Association – we are all simply passengers with our fate in the hands of Ofgem and the Government” – ECA Executive Team
