#TeamUB for charity
Coming together to raise money for charity always cements our team relationships. We support well known charities such as Teenager Cancer Trust but also look to help little known causes too. Bardet-Biedl Syndrome, is a rare genetic condition that affects 500 people in the UK and currently even the medical profession don’t know a great deal about it which is why any funds that can be put towards research is so appreciated.
#TeamUB’s latest money raiser was a Tough Mudder where £1,500 was raised by individual sponsors. However, thanks to the generosity of our investors, Sovereign Capital Partners who have matched everything teammates have raised, to date we are really proud to be able to offer an extra £10,000 to researching this syndrome.
Awards and Team Events
Everyone enjoys a party which is why we try to organise a right good ‘knees up’ for everyone at least twice a year – summer and Christmas – these internal events are designed to thank staff for their support.
However, externally, we enjoy a great reputation in our industry which is why we enter (and are frequently shortlisted and win) a wide range of awards. The Energy Live Consultancy Awards (TELCA) are considered are the equivalent of the Oscars in the energy industry and are an annual calendar highlight for Utility Bidder.
Management and staff dust off their best suits and posh frocks to enjoy a glittering event at a top London hotel where we mingle with customers and competitors to each vie for the top spots across a range of categories. We have picked up a few in our time including Best Customer Service, Consultancy of the Year and Sales Leaders of the Year.
We always have incentives in place and get rewarded for the hard work we do.
